Christopher Pike was a distinguished Starfleet officer who served as captain of the USS Enterprise (NCC-1701) from 2253 to 2258. While not as legendary a figure as his successor, James T. Born in Mojave, California on Earth in 2219, Pike joined Starfleet Academy in 2237 and quickly rose through the ranks, developing a reputation as a skilled navigator and tactician.
